How to work from a campsite

Best for: Remote workers extending a weekend

The math is simple: a laptop wants about 60Wh a day, a phone about 15Wh, and Starlink about 50W while it is on. A mid-size power station covers a full workday plus two hours of satellite internet, and the solar panel buys back a few hours if the sky is clear.

Turn Starlink off between meetings. It is the largest draw by far, and cycling it is the difference between two days of power and four.

Pick a site with open sky to the north and a picnic table in shade. Those two things — clear satellite view and a screen you can actually see — decide whether the day works.

Rent the Starlink and Jackery together for a week and you have a functioning remote office at a campsite for less than three nights in a hotel.
